Who We Are
Remade Worcester is a registered charity based in Worcester passionate about keeping fabric, yarn and other craft materials out of landfill.
Remade Worcester was founded in 2022, following the closure of the Worcester Resource Exchange. Whilst sharing the vision of the scrapstore movement of saving things from landfill and giving them a new life, Remade has chosen to focus primarily on fabric, yarn, haberdashery and papercraft, offering the public an opportunity to buy quality crafting materials at affordable prices. We also have a large amount of leather pieces in a variety of sizes, which we receive from Morgan Motor Company in Malvern.
In September 2023, Remade Worcester opened the doors of our shop at the Crowngate Centre in Worcester. We work with local businesses along with public donations to divert waste from landfills. These donations, which are the lifeblood of our operation, are mostly fabric-based, ranging in quality and use. We also have a selection of sewing bits, yarns, beads, equipment and paper/card stock that you can find in our shop. Our volunteers process all donations, getting them folded, bundled, priced and sorted, ready to be sold at craft shows in and around the local area or within the shop at a discounted rate.
Within Remade, you will find a treasure trove of materials, fabrics, and other materials suitable for craft projects, hobbies, and fashion and textile-based ideas. What sets us apart is the wealth of knowledge from our volunteers, who possess exceptional skill sets in and around textile and fashion crafting, not to mention our incredible prices.
Our mission is to make re-use a first option when purchasing creative resources rather than buying new ones and promote the circular economy concept of reuse, recycle and repair.
